I would probably just pack/unpack the bare essentials, which can be so different from family to family, depending a lot upon where you are going to be in 10 months. We lived temporarily the last 6 months and honestly, I didn't miss anything that we had in storage!

Oooh, good luck! So exciting. My advice would be, every time you pack a box, keep a list of what's in the box. That way when you're not fully unpacked but you desperately need something, you will know where it is without having to rifle through boxes.

We just moved into our new house, and my kid just turned 5 months. We packed in such a way where we didn't have to unpack all at once. I had about a week's worth of clothes in a bag along with my daily toiletries, for example. We are now 4 days in, and we still have a bedroom full of boxes (our books!) The kid's room is the only one that's completely done.

So how will you move furniture, etc while taking care of your kid? Do you have local friends or family to help? I'd definitely take advantage of any offers to help! We had movers, but my ILs also came into town from out of state to help.

We've been in the current place for about 16 months, which is the longest we've lived in one place since we've been married. But this is our first move with the baby!
This move is local though, not international like usual. We're going to be at the new place for 10 months.

I'm super stressed but also excited (the new place is closer to DH's work, has a gym and pool in the complex, and is bigger).

Any tips on packing and moving while juggling a four month old? No movers, it's all up to us. Well, actually me, since DH is working 16 hour days (poor guy!).
