I had a section so couldnt shower for like 3 days (so gross.) Dry shampoo kept me looking nice for all the pics. The hospital gave me socks, lanolin, toiletries, and probably other stuff I can't remember. I did use the toiletries that I brought, just to make me feel more normal. The other things I really used were phone/iPod charger, music, and Boppy (stayed in the car until we moved to postpartum unit). My hospital gave us toiletries, and I had no desire to wear my own clothes, wore the hospital gown until the morning I was discharged.
