We had moved to the town where DH's parents live for DH's job. Its a rural town, so it was hard to find rental homes and by the time we did, they were always taken. EVERY single apartment complex was for low-income families and our combined income was too high to qualify. We ended up living with the in-laws for 3 months as newlyweds, which wasn't horrible, but it wasn't ideal. Anywhere around us is either just as expensive, or more so.</p> <p>DH and I share one car, he works 12 hours shifts 3x a week. Two of those days I work 5 hours shifts and I bring DS with me. For us to live somewhere else, I would have to drop him off at work, go to work, go home and then at 10:30pm pack my son in the car and go pick him up. With a 5 mos old it's just not a feasible option. We had another car and DH got in an accident and we can't afford to replace it. We vowed not to get another car until we pay this one off. </p>
