On the other hand, it's hard to argue with something like 3 of 11 hotels not being finished, a snowboarding course that has been engineered so steeply that people are getting hurt on it, and rampant corruption. There's always stories about controversy and scandal leading up to the Olympics, but this seems a little extreme. If anything, I'm *more* surprised that this is happening, because I would have thought Putin, of all people, would have wanted to put on a show for the world.
