I generally only post pictures of my LO though so I don't have anything controversial on Facebook. That's insane! I find there's a fine line between connecting with them as people to have a more open and friendly relationship and too much personal information. My people are all field people, so I rarely actually SEE them, face to face. It's very strange to be texting with people I've only met once or twice, on a saturday night, and not be discussing my private life, to some degree.</p> <p>But keeping off Facebook, etc, is helpful. I'm not an oversharer though - I've always had a policy not to post things online if it's not something I'd want my boss to see. I manage 40 people, most of whom are in their 20s and I draw a firm line in the sand about keeping professional and personal lives separate. Some of our staff just learned that lesson the hard way and I hope they take it to heart.
