I also attend a mom/baby group at the hospital where we delivered (LO is 8 weeks tomorrow). We meet at a local indoor playground/coffee shop so we let the babies/kids run/crawl/roll around together and have lunch or coffee or cupcakes. We are also planning on swimming lessons and music classes over the winter. We met some moms in an art class there over the summer. We also frequent a indoor playspace nearby and met some people there (found out about it through a Groupon sort of site). The childrens museum and playspace were great places to hang out for my crawling baby!</p> <p>In addition to library story time, we also sometimes go to the ones at Pottery Barn Kids, Barnes &amp; Noble, and our local county museum. </p> <p>I'm also a member of MOMS Club... See if there's a chapter near you. If not, there's also Meetup.com... I was a part of an NYC meetup group with literally 1,000 moms on the listserv. Moms were always looking for play dates on there. What sort of activities do you do with your LO to get out of the house and meet other moms? So far I'm looking into our library's story hour but I'm kind of stuck as to how tO connect with other moms and get out of the house more. My LO is 8 months next week and I'm other only stay at home mom among my friends in the area. We try to get out once a day but target wandering is getting dangerous and though he likes his stroller he likes time to be mobile (getting ready to crawl) so I don't want to just wander the Park or beach every day (we usually go for a long walk after dInner). What are your go-to activities and are you/how do you connect with other moms in your area? </p>
