@lady baltimore: one more thought - Michaels/AC Moore usually have a rainbow of solid tees and may have sweatpants too - they’d be cheap but not the best fit or quality probably.

@wrkbrk: haha! I know, I know - my kids have always had pretty creative costumes! This idea definitely came from a Babysitter’s Club “Little Sister” book she had just read. The main character is always a witch for Halloween. I’m glad it’s easy, at least!!

@PinkElephant: Same! This is his fourth Halloween and the first costume he’s chosen - and what is it he’s been talking about for two months? A ghost! YAWN. When he was a baby he was an angel. Then he was a panda. Then last year Mickey Mouse. This year I was pushing for a Dalmatian but he insists. Ghost. 🤷🏼‍♀️

In store at Walmart. They have a lot of solid color tees and pants. You may have to look around the departments but can usually find something. Bonus is it's cheap!

Solid colors are surprisingly so hard to find! I had a Man in the Yellow Hat last year and found some yellow pants on amazon, you could check there. Or dye plain white cotton pieces.

I was going to suggest Hanna Andersson, but I just looked and no orange - that's an admittedly tough color! Primary is probably your best bet for solid orange.

I'm just pleased that someone else's LO is already dead-set on their Halloween costume. My 7-year-old is determined to be a witch (which is so generic for her typical costume tastes, haha), and has been asking store staff everywhere we go (in August, mind you) if they have any cauldrons for sale.

LO has decided that she wants to be a pumpkin for Halloween. I have a cart full of orange clothing from Primary, but before I order, is there anywhere else I should be looking for solid colored separates for kids? Neither Old Navy nor Lands End has orange right now (that I saw).
