My daughter has always been very up and down. Even now at 17 months she'll vary by a factor of 2 in terms of how much she eats.

@Mrs. Pen: Thanks! We really like it EXCEPT for the rubber handles that attaches to the table. It's so hard to clean and LO gets food everywhere. I also dislike the fabric because unless it's removable, it's a PAIN to clean and looks dirty. Overall, it's a great chair to bring along (i can even fit it in my diaper bag), provided the table widths are under 2" and not one of those centre balance tables.

Have you tried offering more finger foods, or foods that you and your SO eat?

In the last two weeks, LO (same age as you) really fights against any purees i try to feed her. She does a lot better when i put a plate in front of her and let her feed herself. While she eats i'll try and offer her spoonfuls here and there but for the most part i give her some control/independence.

Sometime around 10-ish months we switched to doing mostly finger food. It's a lot more messy, and sometimes I wonder how much actually makes it into DD's stomach, but maybe your baby is telling you that it's time for a change in eating habits.

He has his on and off days. How long has she been eating less? I try to offer nursing a lot more if I notice he's eating less.

However I noticed that around that age (10-11 mos) my son started refusing food to see if I would offer something better. I noticed after a week or two how he was trying to manipulate me to giving him his favorite foods haha!

M is 10 1/2 months and has went from eating around 3-4 4 oz jars of baby foods or finger foods, to maybe 1-1.5 jars a day. After some consulting with Dr Google, I found that this is actually quite common around this age. Did your LO go through one? And if so, how long did it last?
