@Foodnerd81: I keep thinking this too! He'll nurse until he's done but he is a Cheerios bottomless pit!

We pretty much do the same as @erinbaderin: and @Kemma: Shehas a rough nursing schedule- on the ale up in morning, before morning and afternoon nap, before bed, sometimes an extra in there. Solids, usually two "meals a day" but generally any time she is awake when in feeding her big sister she gets something, even if it's a handful of Cheerios while I do other things. She is almost 11 months old now. I swear she has two stomachs, one for milk and one for solids!

LO is 6.5 months. He eats solids 4 times a day and gets 5 bottles. His day starts off with a bottle and then he gets cereal + prunes 2 hours later. From there he gets a bottle 30-45 minutes later. For the rest of the day his food and bottles are spaced out like that. If he gets his solids + bottles too close together he spits up.

We give him a trainer sippy cup with water to play with after his solids in the evening.

Once my kids started solids i worked on the premise that if they were awake at meal times then they ate with us. Generally my babe's fed either before a nap then often had their solids on waking which spaced them out nicely.

My 10 month old gets a 6oz bottle every 3.5-4 hours and eats 3 solids meals a day. I spread them out.

W is 8 months. He was EBF until 6 months and then I started BLW. At this point I'm nursing him 5 times a day and once over night, and feeding him solids twice (plus I often dump him in the bumbo with a bunch of Cheerios in the morning while getting everybody ready). His schedule is basically 7am milk, 10am milk, 11am solids, 1pm milk, 4pm milk, 6pm solids, 6:30pm milk, /land then milk at some point in the night when he wakes up. I give him a cup of water with solids, although I don't think he really knows what to do with it.

If she's just thrown up the one time I'd call it a fluke and not worry about it.

I find it weird that she threw up and maybe it was just a one off because I thought babies usually will not overeat?

If you hadn't have said she threw up I would have just said feed her as much solid food as she will take in addition to her regular amount of formula/breast milk.

Before 1 year I was doing 2-3 times of some solids per day though she was never very interested. Most times it was blw attempts or table food because she refused to be fed by us. Pouches helped save my life a little. I always gave breast milk before solids and would space them 1-2 hours apart. I think she was having breast milk 5-7 times/24 hours until 1 year. I always gave water with meals and randomly throughout the day. Now she's on 3 meals of solids a day and two breastfeeds/24 hours (one in the morning and knew at night with whole milk and water in the day. She isn't a big eater so snacks don't happen.

A day for her around that age was probably something like:
Wake, breastfeed
Solids attempt 2 hours later with water
Breastfeed 1-2 hours after
Solids attempt 2 hours later with water
Breastfeed 2-3 hours later
Solids attempt 2 hours later with water
Breastfeed 1 hour later/bed

Extra breastfeeding if she didn't eat much or seemed like she wanted to.

We started DD on oatmeal cereal and purees at 4 months, and now that she is 6 months have increased solids to twice daily. She gets BM supplemented with formula. My question is how much food and breast milk/formula did your LOs get before 1 year? What kind of schedule are they on? Did you give milk first, then solid? Did you space them out? Did you offer water with solids or some breast milk or formula? I fed her formula then did some of her purees for dinner and I'm thinking I over fed her because she threw up like I have never seen before. I'm now questioning myself now. Thanks!
