@MungBean: i think the combination of her not not having nursed as much today (possible dehydration?) and the sweet potatoes may have done it. I may give her some pears-oatmeal combo tomorrow and see what happens. Who knew poops would stress me out so much??

@Rosie Girl: Oh no, poor thing! 12 days?! That's awful! :(

@caffeinated: You know, I was giving my LO a lot of sweet potato for awhile and she didn't poop for a couple days. I thought it made them poop too? You can try oatmeal and prune or plum puree... LO had a huge poop after that combo. I've noticed she doesn't poop if she eats too much banana, so I try to limit that to every other day or so, or I'll combine it with something like oatmeal.

@caffeinated: It was horrible! And I would feel so bad having to stick that huge suppository up her butt :( She is 7 months now

My LO has had major issues with pooping. She used to go 12+ days without a poop so I would have to giver her suppositories. Now, if she has any fruit she has diarrhea, and lately as soon as she eats something it comes right out the other end. *sigh* I wish we could get on a poop schedule.

@MungBean: Was it when you gave her certain solids? I even tried to mix sweet potatoes-barley cereal-formula and nada. I thought sweet potatoes helped go poop!

LO was very predictably a once-a-day pooper until we started solids. Now it's kinda all over the place - sometimes she'll go twice a day, other times she won't go for like 2 or 3 days. Right now I think it's been about 2 days. I'll try to give her oatmeal or prune puree if it's been awhile and that usually makes her poop.

How often did your LO have bowel movements after he/she started solids? She was pooping at least once a day after i started her on cereals, but i was also nursing her every couple of hours throughout the day. Yesterday i fed her sweet potatoes for dinner and she didn't poop at all today. I don't know if it's because of the sweet potatoes or the fact that i nursed fewer times today.

Any thoughts? How were your LO's poops after solids?

(I'm so afraid that she's going to poop in her sleep! Her poops usually happen by the end of the day.)
