I started giving my daughter prunes at least once daily. When that doesn't work I give her watered down prune juice, which so far has reallllllly helped. I did start a thread on this a while back and got some good suggestîons from fellow bees.

My LO is big on poo but missed two days! (Super unusual for her) so I skipped solids a day and it helped her out!

Poor E! I have no advice but seem to recall you started purees early to help with her daytime calorie intake? Has it helped? The others advised against it, but one HV suggested we wean early (I took this to mean maybe 5mths) to help with S's weight issues.

The same thing has been happening to C! My pediatrician said I could start giving him a daily probiotic... I'm wondering if that will help. For now, prunes, water, and some extra time in the jumperoo seem to help him. The jumperoo really helps him get things moving! Hope E feels better soon.

Does anyone have any experience of this?

My LO has been eating purees for a month now and has been having semi-solid poops, much smaller amounts but more frequently - maybe twice or three times per day.

In the last week, however, she has been doing the small amounts less frequently - yesterday she didn't go at all. I gave her prunes and pears yesterday but they haven't helped.... and today she has been straining to go (she has done two tiny poops) and has clearly been uncomfortable.

What do I need to do??

I have increased her water intake today - but I'm worried that if I give her too much she wont drink her formula (it was a struggle to get formula down her even before we started solids).

Any suggestions?
