@Mrs. High Heels: Why are you awake in the middle of the night??? And 2 naps would he good, but I'm guessing they would need to be spaced out well. Currently Xander's 2nd nap is around 2:00 and sometimes he only sleeps 30 minutes! I think 5 hours until bedtime is probably too long to go without a nap, right?

@Adira: Hahaha first of all, your descriptions always crack me up! You're always WTFing all over the place. LOL!! I would skip too. And another thing to keep in mind is that around 6-7 months they start the 3-2 nap transition... sooo you may not have to deal with that 3rd nap for very much longer! :)

Thanks ladies!!! This is what I was thinking too, but I was worried he'd NEVER get solids in except on the weekends, haha. He's had to have a nap after daycare three times this week!

I agree skip. It doesn't have to be very regular at first. I was really stressed before starting too, but it's really more of a process that you figure out as you go.

I would let him sleep and skip solids that day.

Depending how often the nap happens, I would just skip solids. I feel like sleep and nursing are more important!

So I want to start solids with Xander next week (WTF!) and we want to do it at dinner time because that's the only meal we have with him during the day. BUT some days (MOST days), Xander refuses to go down for his third nap at daycare, which means he ends up napping as soon as he gets in the car (or as soon as we get home).

My PLAN was to nurse as soon as we get home (5:30), then do dinner & solids at 6:30, and in bed by 7:30. BUT if he falls asleep on the way home or needs a nap when we get home, what should I do? Just skip solids that day? Nurse at 6:30, solids at 7:00/7:30, bed by 8:30? Just not let him nap???
