I think I gave her a little bit 3x a day at 6 months old.. It's all a blur! She eats 3 meals a day now though.

Once per day until we had worked through the basic purees. I didn't want daycare to feed her anything we had not already tried at home. Once we were through all the purees, she went right to three meals per day. The quantity at each meal has increased over time.

we fed her at every meal that she was awake for. So usually twice a day as she slept through lunch until she dropped her third nap..

This is a great topic! LO is turning five months and I'm thinking of starting her in a few weeks. The once a day plus one every month rule seems simple enough to remember! I just went out to buy some supplies to make LO's food (freezer tray w lid, little storage containers, spoons) and I am SO excited!! I got an immersion stick blender last Xmas and will be using that to purée her foods.

We did 1x at 6 months and are doing 2x at 7 months...she will be 8 months in a few weeks and I feel like she is close to be ready for 3 meals. She will finish 6-8 tbsp of purées if she likes the food (favorites include avocados, apples, pears, green beans, sweet potato and banana) and she is nursing a bit longer at each session

Thanks for asking this. I'm trying to learn about solids now (while we're still a few months away). The 2 answers so far are nice and simple to follow. I like simple.

We did once a day. Twice a day at 7 months, and 3 times at 8 months.
