If you're only comfortable with one solid meal a day, I would tell them. It sounds like they are being pushy about it since he's the youngest one in the room. I probably wouldn't send more solids.

my daycare was always asking for more solids but I didnt want my LO to cut out a bottle. You can try adding one more puree and if it makes her drink less of her bottle than go back to just one solid til she is a little older

My son is nearly 8 months & has been eating solids since around 6 months. We do BLW at home for dinner (but sometimes purees & sometimes nothing at all) and he gets a jar of puree & some "snacks" (crackers, puffs) at daycare. We do only nursing for "breakfast".

When he started eating the purees he went from drinking 4 3.5 oz bottles to 3 4 oz bottles. I was a little concerned, because our pediatrician said he will need the same amount of milk.

Now daycare wants to add in a 2nd jar of puree during the day. I'm afraid he will drop another bottle if we do that and I'm not sure he needs to eat 3 solid food meals a day (plus snacks!)

None of the other babies in his room are still nursing and are all 10-13 months. My husband says he thinks they're rushing our son because they compare him to older babies. He also thinks doing bottles for him is a hassle & they'd rather do solid food. I'm not sure, because I don't know how much solid food he's supposed to be eating - I thought it wasn't necessary at all!

What should we do - try the extra solids or tell them we want to do just one solid meal a day?
