I loved my solly wrap when DS was tiny. Around 13/14lbs I started switching between the solly and boba 3G (old style, not a wrap) because it started getting uncomfortable carrying the weight without the hip strap to disperse the weight. From 15lbs+ I've only used the structured carrier.

My LO is about 13 lbs and it's very comfortable and supportive still. I don't find it stretches out much yet. But I'm not sure if want to use it ten pounds from now. But, once babies are a little bigger I prefer my beco Gemini (at 12 weeks I've started going back and forth between the two). I do love that it fits in the diaper bag so much easier than any other carrier I've used.

I'm no help with the weight concern, but I've been using mine for my newborn and so far I really like it.

@oliviaoblivia: the moby was a stretchy beast in a bad way. with the solly, i tie it overtight and then stuff baby in. it feels tight, but it keeps it really comfortable for longer term. if you do get it, i recommend putting it on before you go somewhere (if you're driving) then you can pop baby in.... BUT! if the sling is comfy for you, that's probably a lot easier and faster. my neck/shoulder gets jacked up if i have the sling on too long because of the distribution of weight.

@oliviaoblivia: I'm gonna try out the Boba which is up to 35lb on K who is probably 21 or 22... I'm 99% sure it's not gonna feel sturdy!

You guys suck. I've been debating this purchase and just pulled the trigger because of the coupon code.

I'm no help with your original question though :silly:

@oliviaoblivia: I've been on the fence about whether I wanted to give it a try with baby #3 coming soon. But......I did order today because they have 15% (code is SPRING). Not that I am trying to enable you though :)

@ShootingStar: I've read the shoulder straps are diggy..
Probably going to stick with a linen ring sling.
DH will be happy you guys didn't enable me.

@oliviaoblivia: If you like SSCs, I've heard good things about the Boba Air being really compact and packable, and would definitely be usable for longer than a stretchy.

Yeah Moby says 35 which is basically a lie. You CAN carry up to 35 pounds but it's uncomfortable AF.

Ugh I soooo want to order one! But I recently got a Boba for $20 at Target and saving that one for next baby...

I too feel like it wouldn't be as supportive for over 20lbs...

Solly says their wraps are good for up to 25 pounds/one year. No experience yet, though I did pre-order one today.

Do they stretch out with big babies like Moby?

Baby sister is a tank (15 lbs at seven weeks) and I'm looking ahead to summer.
I like how light Solly looks and how compact they fold up for my already over stuffed diaper bag. I'm worried that it'll be useless over 20 pounds.
