I was surprised by the number of swim suits, stained/dirty clothes and inappropriate shoes people were bringing in. These overwhelm small non-profits and refugee centers! Very smart business, and actually seems useful. As opposed to random collections of people's used carriers, I keep seeing posted on my local babywearing Facebook group. I live in Vienna where thousands of refugees have been coming through. I follow a few of the support groups on FB and just today one of them posted about collecting baby carriers.
