DH is a lawyer and, with seven years of practice under his belt, recently left private practice for an in-house job. We were chatting with a lot of his law school friends recently and almost ALL of them, male and female, even those who we thought would make partner at some of the big firms, have either moved to smaller firms or in-house jobs. Dads who get to the tippy top of their career ladders may have an easier time than moms due to maternity policy and sexism, and other things that absolutely need to change, but many of the men don't get as much time with their families or personal leisure activities as they want. Same with women. In the end, I don't think anyone can *really* have it all the way that many popular articles in the past couple of years have talked about it.
