I threw the steriliser away today because it broke and we decided, with S almost 12 weeks, a run through the dishwasher is enough. </p> <p>I'm really struggling with all the things I will never do again once S outgrows them. Because I don't want to have a "last time" nursing them haha. I think it was easy still nursing my first because there was another baby coming so I knew if she stopped at least I could nurse the new baby. I had been determined to wean him off and then one night we were finally done...and then I realized I didn't even "savor" the final feeding because I didn't realize it would be at the time. I've been getting a bit nostalgic lately about all the things I'll never do with them again:</p> <p>* I don't think I'll ever rock them to sleep in my arms again. They are just too big!<br /> * I won't ever push them in a stroller again. We don't even own a stroller anymore! But my son used to struggle to sleep at night, and I would spend hours pushing him around the block in the middle of the night.<br /> * I noticed recently that when my kids got cuts lately, they asked for a bandaid - and not for a kiss for their booboo. I never liked kissing their booboos (so unsanitary!) but now I kinda miss it.</p> <p>Of course there are lots of things I don't miss (changing diapers, waking up in the middle of the night, etc.) - but I never expected to miss so many little things that I never really thought I would value! </p>
