I love the concept - and I don't think it's bother me to haver dress altered regardless - I'm certainly never going to wear it again! I like watching the dress transformation but think the show drags - I usually just fast forward to the unveiling.

I've seen the name on demand, I'll have to go and watch it. I'm saving my dress in hopes that LO wants to use the lace for something, I highly doubt she'll want my full dress. I used my mom's lace to wrap around my bouquet, my SIL used part of my mom's dress for the chuppah, I'm hoping LO will do something like that.

I don't think I'd be devastated if my dress was cut up. I'm only saving it at this point incase she wants some or all of it to make her own dress anyhow.

I only watched a few minutes of this show but I don't understand the mothers who so desperately want their daughters to wear their dresses. They got to wear a new wedding dress so why are they so against their daughters getting a new one? I thought it was silly so I switched it off.

has anyone else seen this tv show on tlc? the brides get their mother's dress remade into something they'd like, or they can choose a new dress. very much like "love it or list it" but with dresses. but unlike that show, when you remake a sentimental family heirloom, it doesn't increase it's resale value like a house. basically, i do not understand this show- how pissed would you be if your wedding dress got all cut up and modernized, and then your daughter decided to wear something new?
