For awhile we used it to help soothe LO to sleep after we put her in the crib. She'd stare at the glowing belly. We turn it on during naps and at night but she normally doesn't turn it back on by herself so it's not on for too long. It looks like a lot of the fire issues were when they were changing the batteries? I don't know but now I'm freaked out! My son likes it- we've used it since he was born. He's a year old now and before we say goodnight to him we turn it on and leave it with him in his crib as he winds down. Now I'm nervous. Anyone had this issue ??? </p> <p>Also, how/when do you use yours ? When we put LO down for the night he is already asleep. DH rocks him to sleep. Will this be more of a help when we sleep train to help him get himself to sleep ? </p>
