Thanks! I'm not thrilled, but I am relieved to know that it is normal. I was expecting it to be like an annual-quick and painless. Ha! I was laying there thinking, what are you DOING up there?? You know it's a dead end, right??

Pregnancy, you are so glamorous ;)

Completely normal, dear. I often bled, and experienced similar pain after cervical checks.

Yeah I was always sore afterwards, I think because it's so sensitive during pregnancy.

I've been having a lot of pelvic pressure over the last few days, so at my appointment today, my doctor wanted to make sure that my cervix was still long and closed (it is, which is a relief!) I had heard that cervical checks could be uncomfortable, but I wasn't entirely prepared to still be sore this evening. Is this odd? I also had a transvaginal u/s today, so maybe just a lot of poking and prodding making me uncomfortable? I haven't had any bleeding or discharge, which is good.

Any experience or words of wisdom to share?
