It has been so awesome! Way easier postpartum recovery despite a much bigger baby. It's also helped with what I call the Nursing Slouch Ache @hellobeeboston:

@MrsSRS: good call, I can't even imagine how out of whack your body is after giving birth! When my first was a month old I had a really bad neck spasm and could barely move! It was awful!

@hellobeeboston: I saw a chiro who frequently sees pregnant women and being in good alignment really helped my birth and made a huge difference in getting everything back where it belongs afterward.

@MrsSRS: @gingerbebe: thanks!! Will be doing both of these today!! 40+5! I do wonder about seeing a chiro as this seems to be a reoccurring issue for me.....

I got this at the end of my pregnancy too. I alternated rice sock and ice packs 24/7 and had my husband massage Ben gay into my shoulder at night and rock those menthol patches during the day.

Slow, gentle, consistent work on range of motion. Do 10 sets of looking slowly as far right as you can then as far left. Then 10 sets of tilting ear to shoulder each side, then 10 sets up and down. Go slowly and relax into the movement but don't try to push it. Try this twice a day or so after using heat. That and a chiropractor.

@hellobeeboston: Do you have a rice sock? Get a mens sock, fill it 2/3 with dry rice, and microwave it for 30 seconds, then 10 second increments until it's at the desired heat. It really helped me get through the day when I got a crick in my neck (it was so bad that my chiropractor asked me what happened).

@blackbird: not a pinched nerve, just tight/sore. But I've had these turn into full blown spasms before so I'm scared of that!

Thanks ladies. Doing Tylenol since I'm 40+4 days pregnant, but I don't love taking it so trying to use sparingly.
Been running it, keeping it warm. Ugh! Hope tomorrow it is better!

i do Advil every 6 hours and try to get in for a massage. But it always lasts at least a couple of days...:(

Is it a pinched nerve? I usually see my chiropractor. Otherwise, i rub it like crazy and use lots of heat!

I agree with Advil and a good massage - Have your DH rub it as hard as you can stand to get the kinks out!

I get these occassionally. The only thing I do is use a heating pad, massage, and Advil. It takes a couple days to go away. I don't know if a faster remedy.

Do you guys ever get a super stiff neck?! I seem to do this to myself at least once a year. A couple times it's gotten really bad and turned into a terrible spasm and I can barely move.

I think I slept weird or I am just sitting weird with my 40+ week belly and working on my computer still.

What can I do to make this get better FAST?! I really don't want all this pain while going into labor and delivery :(
