He also had much shorter days for 2 months as well. It was fabulous and wish it could have been longer. However, his company changed policies and will allow 12 weeks starting in 2016. I, of course, work somewhere without any paid leave except for short term disability. I was a full time SAHM with that one.</p> <p>With our second, he took somewhere between 1-2 weeks, then went back to work. I went back to work at 7 weeks, and my mom came to watch the baby for 3-4 weeks at a time and would go home for a week or two between stints. He took the rest of his parental and vacation time to cover those stints.
