@Espion: I'm fanatic about having a fan for baby. It is a SIDS preventative! I also prefer fan noise to canned white noise and like having an extra layer of white noise on top of his sound machine. But I know a lot of people use a humidifier in baby's room so there's an option too!

@Mrs. Pen: I'm headed to MN this weekend. Looks to be rainy and cool.

@MsMamaBear: Ha, no joke, right?!?! Downstairs we are sans-air. Upstairs we're at a chilly 74, lol. But since hot air rises....it feels hotter!

@BananaPancakes: SAME HERE!

@Espion: I would suggest blackout shades! Also I guess you've already chosen the nursery situation, but we benefit from using as our nursery the room that is smallest, with the lowest ceiling. And of course a ceiling fan. We try to keep it between 68 and 72. During the day it is getting as high as 75, but at night we're still enjoying some cool temperatures.

@Mrs. Pen: I simply couldn't take it. Three months of gloom was more than I could bear!

@wheres_c: It sure does save on laundry and clothes wear-and-tear, doesn't it?!!? :)

I'm trying to figure out how to keep this house cool when (if these last 8 days weren't an eternity!) we bring this baby home, because I know they shouldn't be over-heated. :/ I tried to sleep without the fan on last night and it was way too hot even at 74/75.

(Anyone keep a ceiling fan on for their newborn/infant? If it dries me out, it seems like it would be worse for a baby.)

Just a diaper most of the time unless we're leaving the house, day or night. That has been the case for months though since we had a pretty mild winter/spring in my part of Texas.

We are in Atlanta and LO is in onesie and shorts or a dress during the day. She still sleeps in a sleeper and swaddle at night cause her room gets really cold. We keep it at 71 or 72 at night cause DH and our room gets really hot.
