@hilsy85: awww too bad. actually you know what I realized, there's unsweetened, original/plain, and vanilla.... I think we drink original/plain straight up, and use unsweetened for smoothies. unsweetened alone can take getting used to. not sure if that helps.

There's also goat's milk, which I hear is very close to cow's, but easier on the tummy. It tastes like goat's cheese to me, which I like, but not all the time. I know many moms who give it to their LO though without problems. Same with hemp, but I absolutely hate the taste of hemp milk.

We drink the vanilla soymilk from Costco. It's tastier than almond milk to us.

Another almond milk fan! I grew up on cow's milk and love it, but only drink it on occasion now.

We also drink some coconut milk for good fats.

Ditto buying unsweetened first.

This link helps me know which products don't include carageenan: http://www.cornucopia.org/shopping-guide-to-avoiding-organic-foods-with-carrageenan/

@hilsy85: try almond milk, we use the plain unsweetened version. It took several tries to get LO to like it.

Following this since LO will drink WCM from a bottle, but refuses it from a sippy no matter if it's warm or cold.

@hilsy85: I hate cows milk and like almond milk. It's sweeter, no grit at all haha that sounds disgusting!! DH doesn't like it bc he thinks its too sweet.

@scg00387: that also freaks me out...but I"ve never had almond milk and don't know if it tastes good (and Iguess I'm reluctant to try with LO for that reason). But I guess it does? Is it gritty-tasting/textured at all?

@hilsy85: soy creeps me out with the estrogen stuff so I use almond and wouldn't hesitate to use it for LO. I use a store brand unsweetened, that doesn't have carrageenan in it. I'd try unsweetened first and then sweetened if that doesn't help.

LO is refusing WCM and the pedi recommended mixing soy milk (or almond milk) to try to transition him. If you use soy milk, which brand do you use? The plain vs the vanilla, right?
