I work very close and have the flexibility to do so. Very few parents volunteered and I assume it's because they just can't take off in the middle of the day to read a book.</p> <p>I would absolutely do this at my daughters Pre-K program as well if asked. Same reason, I work close and have the flexibility to do so. </p> <p>And agreed, they are so non-judgemental and just love that someone is showing up special. We just got a letter sent home saying we could sign up as a guest reader for LO's class. I feel like a shitty mom, but I don't have interest in doing it :/ I'm all for going on field trips and joining in for parties, but not this...</p> <p>If your LO's class does this, did you participate? Someone tell me I'm not terrible for not signing up. I'm just not one to be in the spotlight, even if only in front of kids and a few teachers. </p>
