DS can pick a movie and he’ll usually get a special treat like a cookie or cheese puffs. He’s away ALOT. Yesterday, he flew home for about 7 hours to take us to LEGOLand. On the way there LO asked for a cupcake. DH asked if that’s what I do all the time??? Not quite, but I felt totally busted when it comes to sweets. We pick up papa Murphy’s pizza and the kids take turns picking the movie and we usually have dessert. My husband is often on-call, and when he gets called in my daughter and I often have "girls nights" and paint our nails.</p> <p>When I was a kid, when my dad was away on a Friday or Saturday night, my mom would take us to the store to get tv dinners and we'd pick a movie to rent.</p> <p>My husband's on-call schedule is pretty packed in Q4, so I'm looking for small, special things to do with my daughter so she's not focusing on missing Daddy. </p>
