The exersaucer is borrowed, and I ended up buying the jumperoo secondhand later on. If I was only going to have one it would be hands down the jumperoo. At that age they dont have that much head control yet. He would stay in it for up to 30 minutes. It was a lifesaver when I needed to cook dinner and DH wasn't home from work yet. I would definitely recommend it!</p> <p>If you think you could wait a little while before getting one, I bought ours on Black Friday for $50 at BRU. If you have the space it's great to have both because you can keep them in different rooms and you'll always have a place to plunk baby while you go about your business. But if you don't want the baby gear footprint, I would suggest getting an exersaucer (much cheaper and smaller footprint) AND a doorway jumper-- those things are AWESOME. The exersaucer is much harder to jump in, but that's the only big difference I see. My LO doesn't seem to remember that he can jump in the jumparoo, but he might when he's a little older. I'd rather not end up with too much baby gear in our place and am hoping to just get one or the other... </p>
