I've seen two people give birth (my mom and my sister) and watched some documentaries, read lots of birth stories -so I felt prepared and thought I had a good idea how much it'd hurt. But it was a bajillion times worse than I could have ever imagined. LO wasn't quite in position, I had a cervical lip that was close to rupturing, and I couldn't stop pushing. The doc was happy to let me have an epidural. So, I went through pretty much everything but pushing without meds and it wasn't as bad as I expected. In the original thread I voted harder then expected. With DS I was induced and ended up with an Epidural at 7cm resulting in major heartrate issues almost a c section and 3 hours of pushing. So was your labor harder then expected, easier then expected, or as expected. Did you have any meds or was it an unmedicated birth? </p>
