You could order one with your meal if you wanted and every other day they would just bring one in the afternoon with a small carton of milk as an afternoon snack. I wasn't allowed to eat until dinner (he was born early afternoon) and I was really sick all through labor and delivery, so by the time dinner came I just ate applesauce. I was there for 4 days so I was able to figure out which ones were good. I had the luxury of ordering extras for my husband which I found out that I am not suppose to. :P I was ordering like two meals and a bunch of sides and desserts. One person taking my order told us on the 3rd day that I can only order one main dish. So instead I ordered a main meal and bunch of sides which was enough for both of us. By then my husband was done with hospital food anyway. But I remember the burger and cheese steak the best. And I always ordered a hot soy milk every morning that they remembered who I was b/c no one else orders hot soy milk. Plus getting to eat in bed and being catered to was rather nice. The only meal i didn't care for was a chicken dish that was pretty bland. Ours was soooo good :) I had filet mignon, roasted potatoes and veggies, and chocolate cake for my first post-delivery meal. So yum! But overall, the lunches and dinners were meh. I did get to choose for the second day there, but the first day I wasn't in my postpartum room for breakfast, which is when you order for lunch/dinner, so I just got the standard meals. One of them I couldn't even eat it was so gross. They made homemade soups which were really good, and homemade oreo pudding which was so freaking delicious. The rest of the stuff was pretty run of the mill and fine. All our food was free while I was in the hospital, and adding "free" always makes food taste a little bit better. </p>
