The good thing is that after (if you're delivering at the hospital), they'll give you these ice packs that help with the swelling. Probably because the pain meds constipated me and cancelled out anything the colace was doing. I stopped taking the percocet and bam! BM. Had to do suppositories AND take miralax and benefiber for weeks. It was awful. Probably the worst thing about recovery. They weren't itchy but they were painful and scary, and treating them was no fun.
