We don't tattle on each other per se as adults, but we do talk about each other to our parents, more in a conversational not judge-y way. As kids, we always told on each other, but it was usually 2 against 1 since we're a family of 3 kids. Usually I told my mom these things, but she wasn't around.</p> <p>My dad paused thoughtfully and told me: "I am glad that you told me. However I was brought up not to snitch on my brother. I suggest you learn to do the same."</p> <p>I went away from that conversation feeling about one inch tall. And after that, I never ever snitched on a friend or family member again. Except for my sisters to my mom... but they deserved it. Just kidding. Sort of.</p> <p>Did you tell on your siblings to your parents? Did you ever declare a mutual truce and form an alliance against your parents, like my dad encouraged? Or did your parents play you off each other like my mom did, haha! </p>
