I had three sister playmates, the neighbor boy, a big fenced backyard, books...we just didn't think about TV much. We each had a show that we enjoyed, and that was all we watched. The rest of our time was spent on homework, playing out side, reading, etc. I don't remember being restricted from TV, though. I remember Saturday morning cartoons. And after school, we were allowed watch an hour of TV (and then Oprah came on and my mom took over the TV). I think we watched some evening shows with my parents too. We definitely played outside a TON.</p> <p>I think in high school, I started watching more TV. And then in college I watched even more. They just encouraged us to do other things and go outside. We probably watched more TV/movies in the winter or when we were sick. We never had cable and no TV in our rooms and I don't really remember it being that much apart of our lives, though there were a few shows we did watch regularly.</p> <p>How about everyone else? </p>
