I would block certain information from some family members. I usually accept requests from Instagram unless it's spam. MIL, I had on a very restricted setting. She's been playing my husband for a fiddle for a couple of weeks, being "sad" about not seeing pics of the baby on FB. She deleted her FB a couple of weeks ago. I accept people, but give them restricted access if they can't be trusted with such information. I've gotten some friend requests from old Jr. HS friends from a school I transferred out of in the 7th grade. I actually knew the girl and we had fun together but never kept in touch after I left that school. I accepted her, she was my friend. But someone that went to my HS that I can't recall I'd ever spoken to, and won't be able to recognize on the street, then no. I also don't accept distant relatives (aunts or uncles) that I've never met and don't exactly know how we're related. But online friends, yes. Some of them I know more than my RL friends! Do you accept all or most of your friend requests? Lately I've had several new coworkers add me on Facebook and I've left them in limbo because I like to keep my FB as private as possible, but I feel bad not adding them. MIL figured out that I don't post pics on FB anymore because I post them on Instagram, and made an account. I've left her request in limbo too because she always grills DH about my pics - for instance, one time I took a pic of us in our office and she noticed a cabinet she gave him wasn't in there and she flipped out. What's your friend request policy?
