I pay $50, but it's a deal for me because I've known their family forever. Her mom started cleaning my mom's house when my older sister was born, so I've literally known them my whole life.</p> <p>She dusts, mops the floors, vacuums, bathrooms and kitchen, and change the sheets if I need it.</p> <p>For me it's necessary, all that going on my hands and knees to clean plus the chemical smells give me migraines. My mom was nice enough to make one of my holiday gifts this year a few months of a cleaning service, and they come every two weeks. They clean the bathrooms, the kitchen, and vacuum and mop the floors. It makes it so much easier to pick up and I finally feel comfortable having folks drop by my house, something I was always really concerned about. We only got one after LO was born because I just couldn't keep up the house anymore. It's really cheap where we live, so I think we'll keep having her come until we leave here. Then a bunch of events popped up during my first trimester (wagon jr's birthday party, the holidays, etc) so we buckled and hired a service. We are just shopping around and asking for referrals right now. We'll have her come once every two weeks which is what I grew up with. It didn't used to be worth the money since I was perfectly capable of doing it myself. But I have really no been feeling well with this pregnancy and I spent my weekends laid out on the couch. After doing a full cleaning of the bathroom recently hubs announced to me that we should get a cleaning lady for the duration of my pregnancy and at least the first year of baby's life. I have no problem keeping my kitchen pretty clean, loading and unloading the dishwasher, sweeping and mopping hardwood floors, cleaning the fridge, keeping up with laundry and keeping the house clutter free but I absolutely hate bathrooms and dusting...I don't love vacuuming but I'll do it. I'm a SAHM though so I feel like its my "job" to keep the house clean.
