Ours is female, but we also use a lot of advice from my husband's uncle. My OB is male, I preferred him to the females in the practice. I want my son to understand that he can be open with his doctors no matter their gender. She is AWESOME. Any time I call with a question or we get test results she is the one we talk to. The first time she called us I was in shock since that stuff is normally taken care of by the MA's. But as soon as I turned about 16...I started a female family doctor and have been with her ever since. My son will have a male but if I had a daughter she'd have him too.....he's just awesome.
