Only if you plan vacationy things around it. For instance, a trip to Disneyland, sightseeing, wine tasting, or 2 days on a cruise while you're there. Pigging out (in our book) counts as well. Visiting them at their homes over the holidays is not a vacation. Going to the Caribbean with them, or on a cruise, or to a ski resort, definitely counts. (I have the most generous in-laws in the world, if that wasn't obvious). We absolutely crave our own vacations in addition to these, though, especially international ones. This can get difficult when we only have so much leave from work. Like everyone is from NY and you all go to a resort in Puerto Rico.
