They took everything that was not nailed down/too big (couches, etc.). Thankfully no one was home.</p> <p>I have a security system installed on my current house. How freaky!! I'm glad you are ok.</p> <p>We bought our house knowing it had been broken into in the past. They kind of know who did it and that person isn't living on our street anymore. The back door has since been secured. Since having LO we have made our frontdoor auto-lock so our keyless entry system will lock as soon as we close the door. (FYI-It's about $100 to install from Home Depot. That is so scary!!!! My apartment was broken into when I was in my early 20s, but thank goodness it happened while I was at work. I came home and the whole place was turned inside out, it was so scary. It was about 4am and my first thought was "what the heck is my roommate doing in my bed?!"</p> <p>When I sat up and said her name, the guy stood up and walked out. My eyes are really bad, but I could tell that it wasn't my roomie. I actually got up out of bed and ran after him, but he was out the door before I could get to the living room. </p> <p>One of my biggest fears will be that someone will break into my house and I won't hear him until it's too late. </p> <p>Thank God I had a roommate. Otherwise who knows what would have happened.. </p> <p>Has your house ever been broken into? Were you home? </p>
