I find the most painful areas are in the center of the body, so the area closest to my underwear hurts the most, with the areas on the thigh the least. I am also more sensitive on my left side, so we do that first too.</p> <p>I think the key is going for a test to see how you react and if your skin/hair combo is appropriate. A good technician will be honest if you're not going to get good results. I am very hairy. I look like a teddy bear if I don't shave my legs for 3-4 days. I've only had 2 treatments so far, but the results are amazing. I hope it lasts. I plan to do my underarms for sure and maybe my bikini area. I think it hurts really bad, so I'm not sure I can handle the bikini area. But I loved the results. I got a groupon for $100 for 4 sessions so at least it didn't cost too much. In the winter of 2010 i decided to get laser treatment on my face, bikini, and forearms. They convinced me i would see a noticeable difference by my wedding that august and i would only need 6 sessions but they offered free maintenance for up to 2 years after. </p> <p>Well you can only do treatments if you havent been in the sun for 2 weeks prior to the treatment so for me since we are at the beach or the pool all summer i could only do treatments oct-may and 2 years later i'm still going for treatments and I have my last 2 before my package runs out. </p> <p>I am not satisfied with the results at all and there is no recourse for me since there has been some reduction. I feel like i was lied to by the office sales manager and misled into buying something not worth the huge amount i paid. I've completed my 6 sessions, and still have very few hairs growing. However, they're super fine. I think another session or two will take care of it. I absolutely love it!! Not more coarse hair and having to shave frequently. I had to shave my legs as frequently as my underarms. Plus, my underarms always had a dark haze to it. Yuck!!</p> <p>The underarms hurt the most for me. I made them do a 3 zap grouping and take a second to stop and do another 3. I have one visit left but honestly, it was getting more painful as I was going forward (they turn it up) that I just couldn't hack it. I was (rightly) told that it's not really hair removal but hair reduction and in that sense, it absolutely did work. I do have some patchy growth in both areas, but they are MUCH easier to maintain than before. I'm like you Mrs. Bee where I didn't have a ton of underarm hair (more than 15 though) and I don't have a ton of leg hair either so many times I'd be caught with longer underarm hair than I should. The underarms were not fun, but a much smaller area than the bikini so easy to get through. I was worried I'd have some odd hair growth with my pregnancy and I have not (thankfully). I just want to get my underarms done because I don't have that much hair (I don't shave my legs), so I just forget about it and end up with like 15 super long armpit hairs (sexy!).</p> <p>Did you get laser hair removal?
