Definitely it's a mixed bag. Easier in the sense I barely had any morning sickness. Harder because I feel heavy and not able to sleep well at night.

Much easier. Thus far, I'm just over 34 weeks, and I love being pregnant.

It's been easier, I would say. I'm feeling good and looking good, other than these pimples! The first trimester was rough with all day sickness, but it wasn't horrible and I made it through without ever puking. The second trimester has been a breeze! Maybe ask me in 3 months when I'm a month from my due date. :-)

much much harder. 1. HORRIBLE morning sickness. 2. just having twins - i think it's taking a toll on me. 3. never had reflux before and it SUCKS! my hubby has it and says it's not that bad, but for me, it makes me feel nasty nauseous and gross.

i think what was easier is that i thought i may be on bed rest by now, but i think i'm okay for now. knock on wood. i thought pregnancy would take SO LONG! but it was only the 1st trimester. after that, it feels like it's speeding by so quickly! and i didn't think i'd enjoy the babies moving so much! although, it's getting a bit uncomfy now that they're all squished in there.

but it's all worth it, right? =D especially when i get to meet my babies.

I loved being pregnant!

I didn't throw up at all but had that "hangover" feeling every day until about 12 weeks.

I hadn't realised how tired I would get in the first trimester ( I mean, d'oh! What did you expect!).

I loved how I looked pregnant but I was all boobs and belly. From front on I hardly looked pregnant but side on I was huuuuge.

I hadn't thought I would worry so much about the health and safety of the baby.

Heartburn in the last trimester was fairly brutal.
Despite all that, I loved it and hope I get the chance to experience it again.

Only 7 weeks but so far...

Harder! I never imagined I would get M/S THAT early or THAT badly. While I haven't been throwing up (I haven't in many years...I don't think I have normal reflexes anymore!) I spend so much time holding it in. :(

I also worry more than I thought I would about the baby.

I'm looking forward to the 2nd trimester. :)

It's been both for me

Easier
-I didn't have morning sickness either
-I feel better physically than I expected to
-I love feeling baby move

Harder
-I'm struggling with my changing body more than I thought I would
-I really miss eating/drinking/doing what I want
-when fatique hits, it hits HARD
-I miss sleeping comfortably and not getting up a ton to pee
-While I didn't have "morning sickness", I have pretty constant nausea. Still. Unless I'm eating, or have gum or candy in my mouth.

Way way way harder. I still really enjoy being pregnant, but I totally underestimated how exhausting and uncomfortable pregnancy could be. I am 26 weeks now.

The hard parts have been:
-Hyperemesis from the time I found out until about 22 weeks, I am still on some (far fewer) meds to combat it at 26 weeks.
-Progesterone supplements - inserting them twice a day just sucked, and killed our sex life until I was done with them at 14 weeks.
- Concerns about blood sugar and blood pressure in the first trimester - had tons of bloodwork (weekly for a month) and had to check my blood pressure 3x per day until it stabilized (once I stopped progesterone)
- Back pain started at about 23 weeks, which I found to be really early. Could be because I measure 4 weeks ahead!
- Braxton Hicks contractions starting at 16 weeks (thought they were an end of pregnancy issue)
- Exhaustion - the first trimester I don't know how I even functioned, I had a brief reprieve but the exhaustion is creeping back already

Better than I imagined:
- I have only gained about 5 pounds total at 24 weeks! I think I look better now than I did pre-pregnancy
- I am embracing my better skin and hair
- Feeling the baby moving is awesome (except when it wakes up from a dead sleep at 3 am and goes on for 3 hours)
- The bump is fun to sport! I like that I really look pregnant now, I think it is such a special feeling.

It has definitely been harder, but not for "normal" reasons.

I never imagined myself being alone for my first pregnancy (or any of my pregnancies for that matter) but I can't control when the Navy chooses to move us (we now live in California and both of our families are on the East Coast) or when they choose to deploy DH.

Luckily he'll be here for the final stretch; I'm 30 weeks now and he should be home within the next month!!!

Other than hubs being deployed and some severe back pain (I have existing back problems) I have had what most people would call an "easy" pregnancy. I just hate having hubby be gone 8-(

It is way easier! I guess I'm one of the lucky ones, but I really like being pregnant :)
I'm 35 weeks right now and, sure, I'm uncomfortable sometimes- but nothing like I imagined based on what I'd heard. I had nausea and tiredness my first trimester, but was never actually sick. I think the biggest thing that's helped that I haven't gained any weight (I was overweight to begin with). I can't imagine how much harder this would be on my body if I'd put on a bunch of added weight to contend with. I've gotten so many compliments on how good I look and how I've got a pregnancy "glow".
I know a lot of people are ready to be done with pregnancy by 35 weeks (and I probably will be after 3-4 more!) but for now I feel awesome. I definitely count myself lucky and hope my future pregnancies are this great!

It was just as I thought it would be - but I had a good pregnancy with typical pregnancy ailments (bloatedness, tiredness, sore backness, peeingness, whaleness, etc.)...Very typical. But I MISS being pregnant! I really do!

So. Much. Harder. I didn't even have morning sickness and haven't had to deal with things like constipation, hemorrhoids, heartburn, etc. to be honest, the changes to my body have sometimes been hard to accept. It's terrifying to not know what everything will be like post-baby.

Oh God, pregnancy was awful. Like, "worst experience of my life to date" awful. I have never been so physically, mentally, and emotionally stressed and exhausted and pained. After the horror that was pregnancy, I actually kinda found those newborn months to be not that bad at all :)

Oh much much harder than I ever thought. I used to look at cute pregnant women and think "oh! I can't wait to be pregnant. Looks so fun!" I didn't realize how much pain and discomfort comes with it. I think the hardest things were 24/7 nausea, heartburn, constipation and swelling. But then in the 2nd trimester you see your baby bump and you feel your baby kick and you think it's all worth it. I keep going back and forth between disliking pregnancy to loving pregnancy.

The first trimester was much worse than I thought. I never actually threw up, but I was nauseous and exhausted and pretty much didn't get off the couch for 2 months. I couldn't even go to the grocery store because being in a car made me sick AND once I got to the grocery store, all the smells made me feel soo sick.

The second trimester has been much, much easier than I thought. I tire easily, but I'm mostly still sleeping well, the only pain I have is occasional round ligament pain, and I'm not usually super hungry so I haven't gained a ton of weight. Plus, since I'm tall I don't look huge yet (I'm 26 weeks).

The main thing I didn't expect was how incredibly happy and calm I have been the whole pregnancy. Considering I had terrible PMS before, I assumed the hormone changes of pregnancy would cause similar mood swings, but my mood has been more stable than ever in my life, so I'm loving that! And so is my husband! :)

For me, this time this second pregnancy has been much harder than I thought since the first was so incredibly easy. I wasn't quite prepared for 13 weeks of nausea and all of this shortness of breath.

I'm at 22 weeks and overall I would say it's been harder:

Cons:
Terrible morning sickness during weeks 8-16
Spent the first trimester peeing 2-3 times during the night, thus not getting a lot of sleep
Crazy heartburn
Constipation

On the other hand, there are some pros!
So far I'm not really all that big
After a brief stint of greasiness during 1st trimester, my skin is now looking great
Hair and nails have been growing a ton thanks to prenatals
Feeling the baby moving around is wonderful

I'm only about 18 weeks along, but it's been easier than I expected so far.

Pros:
No morning sickness
I'm still down 5 lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight
I didn't expect to be showing yet, but I think the bump looks cute

Cons:
I'm more tired than usual (but I loooooove sleeping, so this is good)

So, so far, so good for me! Just not looking forward to the later months when I'll start to feel uncomfortable.

Harder. Even on good days I feel "off." I'm still fighting morning
(all day) sickness at 27 weeks, belly isn't growing as fast as baby so everything is so scrunched up in there making it hard to breathe, insomnia, terrible headaches, etc. However, no stretch marks, haven't gained much weight, bigger boobs (yay!), and a baby on the way... I'd say it's worth it :)

I still have morning sickness now in week 19, the fatigue/insomnia has been rough, and just last night I started getting terrible SI joint pain which from everything I've read is just going to get worse. I've joking told DH this will be an only child but if this all keeps up it may be serious.

HARDER, much harder.

24/7 “morning” sickness from weeks 6-16 needing daily Rx medication to control (and then it just kept me from throwing up, I still felt nauseous all the time), and even at 22 weeks I still have to take Rx anti-nausea meds a few times a week.

I’ve had a lot of pain in my hips/pelvis/back (starting around 17 weeks) to the point where I have to go to physical therapy twice a week now, and probably will have to continue with that until the end of my pregnancy. Its so bad sometimes I can’t stand up straight and I walk like an old woman with a broken leg all the time. When I’m sitting, if I don’t move it doesn’t usually hurt – anytime I move though, I’m in pain. Standing up is the worst, it feels like acute stabbing in my hips. I’ve only gained about 6 pounds so far, so its not weight related – I don’t even want to think about how much worse it will get once I do gain significant weight.

Constipation – seriously, ugh.

Fatigue – thank goodness I work about 10-15 minutes from home, because I had to go home and take a nap every day at lunch during the first trimester. At least that has gotten better.

I’m guessing in a few years I will have forgotten how much I am disliking this process, but right now…I’m seriously giving thought to having my tubes tied after this baby. Some women seem to be built for pregnancy - I am not one of those women.

I think it was about as hard as I expected. I was sick the first trimester, had a great second trimester, and felt like a whale the third trimester. But pretty much a standard pregnancy!

For me, it was easier. I didn't have any morning sickness and I had nothing more than the standard low risk doctors appointments. I worked 50 hours a week with an hour public transportation commute up until I was 36 weeks.

Its been both easier and harder than I though

Easier-
- I only threw up once, although I had nausea it wasnt nearly as bad as I has expected
- My belly didnt get too big so I'm not too heavyand dont have to waddle around. So far I have no stretch marks and I'm hopeful I wont get any but I know its still early.

Harder-
- I had a disgusting mettalic taste in my mouth for most of the 1st and part of the 2nd trimester. That was unbearable
-Didnt expect this many doctor appointments, blood work.. etc
- Horrible heartburn
-Round ligamet pain, I hadnt even heard of that before I got pregnant
-The awful tiredness and fatigue in the first trimest totally blindsighted me. No one had warned me about that
-Hard to always eat right and drink enoug water

Harder, SO much harder. The morning (all day) sickness, fatigue, and inability to sleep were nothing like I had imagined.
