I started with rice cereal and breastmilk. Then we did pears. She took awhile to warm up to solids...and even now she sometimes takes awhile to warm up to new foods. After pears I tried peas, avocados (her fave), sweet potatoes, bananas, zuchinni, apples, green beans...and now I mix them. She loves apples and pears. She definitely prefers her food mixed with some rice cereal..

All I have are little containers to freeze her food and an immersion blender. Oh maybe get a steamer basket if you don't already have one.

I think you have all the supplies you need!
I started off with sweet potatoes. Probably not the best to start off with since it's yummy and sweet, but LO loved it :)

LO is turning five months on Monday and I'm thinking of starting in a few weeks. I got an immersion stick blender last Xmas and picked up some additional supplies today - freezer tray with lid, small storage containers, spoons, and bibs with food catcher. I did some research and saw some suggested food lists for the first month of solids, but wanted to see what the mommas on HB did. Also, what other supplies am I missing?
