I had burberry rain boots (I paid $250? I think?) that I just sold via consignment because I've been wearing Tretorns instead (they don't strangle my calves!) and I used to wear short Uggs every winter (around $125) but I just scored a pair of zip-up knee high Uggs for $80 at the outlet, so that's what I've been wearing this winter. </p> <p>I guess the bottom line is that I'll pay $$$ for utilitarian shoes (winter boots, basically) but everything else is department store sale prices. I'm dying for a pair of Tory Burch flats because I love the elastic around the top. I have this weird nerve in the knuckle above my big toe on one foot, and wearing most shoes hits that nerve and I get very painful deadfoot after a bit. This is why I live in Toms and Uggs! but I just picked up a pair from Payless that has the same elastic. And they're so great. </p>
