My registry changed a lot, but it was nice to have a running list, especially since we found out the sex right before Christmas and I knew we'd be getting baby gifts early (some people actually did buy things off the registry as Christmas gifts, which we loved). About a year and a half ago we moved here and I don't know that many people (still) well enough to throw me a shower, so I don't know if I'm going to have one at all. All of my close family and friends are back where we moved from.
