@pastemoo: oh, your LO is up to the same tricks my LO use to pull at dinner! I swear, she would save up her crying all day and then the moment we sat down to dinner...bam! Lol now that she does bath/bottle/bed, we actually get to eat together (although I usually hold her while I eat as I'm the"bed" until she falls super deeply asleep). :)

@Mrsdaredevil: @runsyellowlites: I am right there with you!

She is EBF snd has had maybe 4 bottles ever. DH works veey long hours and I am a SAHM/WAHM so I handle every night feeding she has ever had. DH doesn't generally wake up. Luckily, she still sleeps in the PnP next to our bed, or next to me in bed when DH leaves for work. I never expected it to be any different, though.

DH feeds him his morning bottles during the week because I leave for work, or am already working(I work at home 3 days a week) before DS is up. He also feeds him his last bottle of the day(if it comes after he gets home from work). So during the day I feed him. Every other Thursday DH has off and has DS for tr whole day so he feeds him then. On the weekends we usually alternate.

@yoursilverlining: +1!! I said the same thing to DH when I was pregnant; I expected equal share in parenting which included nights, feedings, weekend help etc. DH does SO SO SO great with this. He changes all the diapers on the weekends and plays with DS nearly exclusively. He will get up with DS some mornings as well so that I can sleep in. He is truly wonderful!!

@Mrsdaredevil: @runsyellowlites: yeah try living with a deaf husband :P he hears nothing ever lol

I voted for two options: I mainly EBF, but on the weekends I pump at least 2-3 feedings so that DH can feed him for bedtime or naps.

He also will wake up at night and bring DS to me if I wake him up to get him. Last night I woke him up to put him back to sleep because he wasn't suppose to be awake. Before DS used to get up more than once, DH would get him for me. But now that he only wakes up once a night, I usually get him.

I would say everything is fair :)

I do nearly all the feedings as LO is breastfed and I'm a SAHM. We give her a probiotic every day, so we take one ice cube of frozen breast milk (13 ml) and put it in a bottle with the probiotic. DH usually gives her that bottle whilst I get ready to finish the feed with bf'ing. When I feel like having a glass of wine, we'll take enough ice cubes out for a full feed and that's done by DH.

LO has been sleeping through the night since 8 weeks so there's no more night time feeds to worry about. When we did have to feed overnight, I would feed her and DH would burp her and settle her back to sleep.

We bottle feed and alternate feedings, although I usually do the "dinner" feed while my husband cooks our dinner, and he usually does the 6am "breakfast" feed when she wakes up. The other feedings we try to be 50/50 on. Before LO slept through the night, we alternated night feedings about 50/50 too. A husband who didn't do night feedings would not fly in my house; it's his baby too and everyone needs sleep whether they work inside or outside the home.

I am her primary caregiver. I do almost all night feedings except once in a while on the weekend when I need the sleep (DH gets up very early, so I don't make him on weekdays). He does help a bit on weekends, but she's down to maybe 5 bottles a day. I would say DH does around 2 bottles per week on average.

Dad got 10 days paternity leave and he used to stay up till 3am playing video games and would give LO at least 2 bottles before he went to bed--I had a really hard time recovering from my c-section and so it was a huge relief not to have to get up from bed.
After that... Dad does not stay up to feed baby much anymore, maybe once a month, so mom stopped pumping because it was all going down the drain.
And he started bringing baby to me to nurse in bed. I realized I'd rather nurse him on the couch anyway! Imagine that! LO wakes up less, so it's easier for me.
And I am not at work (yet?).

I didn't vote because I'm not sure which option applies to me.

I BF and supplement with formula. When my husband and I are both with LO I primarily feed her bc I nurse whenever I can to build up my supply. But if we were out and about we give formula then he would do it. And on daddy/daughter days (Wednesdays) he does all the feeding when he's home with her. But that's on hold now since I"m PT.

I nurse exclusively in the middle of the night so I always wake up to nurse. If he wakes up before me -rarely- he'll grab her and bring her to me. But I don't like to wake him up if not, no use having both of us up!
