Our LO was on Zantac but he never actually spit up. He was definitely refluxy. We found that he was actually intollerant to milk and soy. Have you looked at those? We pulled the medication once we stopped eating those. I know this is not normal and I am not advising you to go against your doctor. For us we found the reflux medications were actually hurting our son's ability to digest food.

You are doing what is best for your child, but if it isn't helping or if you see other issues, keep looking for a full solution.

We gave our LO Zantac when he was an infant for reflux too. I would agree and say to wait a few days for the medicine to get into his system. I remember it took a while (maybe 3-4 days?) until I noticed a change. He was still spitting up but he wasn't as bothered by it. I think it's just something he has to outgrow unfortunately. Even with Zantac, he still spit up a lot of milk. At around 3 months, it got considerably better!

DS was put on Zantac yesterday for reflux and he did great yesterday after taking them. Today he had his morning dose and has spit up almost the entire 2 bottles he's taken since. He's not bother by the spitting up. I know Zantac doesn't help with spitting up, but I didn't think it would make it worse. Did anyone else have the same problem? Did the spitting up get a little better, or go back to babys normal spitting up habits? DH wants to wait a few days for the meds to get in his system before we all the doctor. Which makes sense.
