I didn't have any spotting or AF until 10 months PP, but then I would spot for a few days leading up to AF. FWIW, I had spotting issues before that pill, so I'm not sure they are related. I've been taking it for about 5 years (with a break to TTC) and I've never had any major issues. I seriously had the worst experience on it. When I breastfeed again, I'm going to consider doing condoms until weaning. I had two periods a month on the mini pill. For me, it's just not an effective birth control especially when I was breastfeeding.
