@mediagirl: I have like 7 new outfits to wash and I'm so excited about not having to do separate loads. Parenting has made me SO cool.

@mediagirl: They sell them in the grocery store, usually right along with the dryer sheets and such. I buy mine at Publix. Shout Color Catchers:

@LBee: hahaha. I found it! Thank you. Ordered. Maybe those will help... I just bought this rash guard (used) and I hate to think I ruined it before she can wear it. :(

@mediagirl: 56 vs 24, I think. Or I just suck at shopping. I also added a bunch of other stuff, paid with debit card, and got an additional ~ 17% off.

@LBee: ha, I just went and looked at the same thing. But Jet.com is showing them for $8 even though Amazon says they are only $4 on their site.

@mediagirl: No advice, just commenting that after reading this post I just went and bought some from Jet.com (totally overpriced on Amazon, boo!) because they sounded so magical.

What about Oxyclean spray? I've used that in the past to treat specific areas as opposed to the whole garment and it's worked well.

I think rubbing alcohol is supposed to be good for ink stains. Also, I would not keep soaking things in Oxyclean, I have had SO many pieces get ruined because after a certain amount of time, it leaves light spots and the fabric disintegrates and gets holes :(

@Smurfette: Color Catchers are a must for every load. There is just no telling when color transfer will occur (even when it shouldn't!).

Is it an ink spot or the whole item is just kinda discolored?

If it's a spot, I've found goo gone works well.

ETA: If it is a spot of ink. literally the only thing I found to work was goo gone. spraying it, letting it soak, cleaning the area with dawn and repeat.
My son got RED ink all over a brand new winter coat in January and that was the only thing that got it out. I trying rubbing alcohol, hairspray, and everything else the interwebs had to say.

Soak it again and add Color Catcher sheets. I never soak anything in Oxy Clean anymore without them.

I was pre-treating two of my daughter's shirts in a bucket with oxyclean in it. The shirt had ink on it and the rash guard had some old moldy stains on it. I pulled them out the next day and found the ink came off of the shirt but....it transferred all over the rash guard! I am currently soaking the rash guard in oxy again but after an overnight soak, it is still showing the ink transfer on it. Heeeeeelp. What else can I try??
