<description>&#60;p&#62;Crappy stainless isn't very strong and you probably have a cheap version if it's rusting (400 series perhaps).....so that's my guess &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;You can use a similar steel wool or a plastic-be careful because any imbedded metal fragments can accelerate the rusting process &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;I'm not aware of any kitchen safe coating, though. All the stuff I know is way too dangerous to eat. Can you call the manufacturer? That's a pretty not robust stainless, period. Plus....you might he removing superficial rust but rust goes deep

<description>&#60;p&#62;We bought a new stainless steel sink, and to our dismay, it scratches and rusts at the smallest provocation. Set a glass cup in it? Scratch (I didn't even know that was possible). Leave a plastic tupperware container in the sink for two days? Rust ring. It's ridiculous.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;The rust can be scrubbed away with a sponge, but the scratches really bother me. Is there something we can use to buff out the scratches? Or at least coat the sink with something so it doesn't scratch more?
