I see you're angry because mommy took the keys away). Then, distract her with something else (e.g. "Let's go play with your blocks, instead!"). Usually its something she wants but cant have, like my glasses or phone. Not horrible ones and they don't happen often but they seem more like tantrums - 'I know what I want and I'm pissed that I can't have it RIGHT NOW' than just baby tears. I want to get started on the right foot with how to handle them but I'm not really sure what the right foot is. I usually check the situation out to make sure it's just a fit and she's not actually hurt and then ignore it. Sometimes she stops on her own and sometimes it takes some hugs. I was reading Harvey Karps 'happiest toddler on the block' and I feel like everything in there is a bit early for us, LO just turned 11 months so talking/reasoning/giving choices doesn't have much affect on her yet. </p>
