Often studios will begin preparations around Dec. It really started after we saw a children's production of the Nutcracker. Another activity we did once per week has ended so we have more time in our week and I like to keep her busy since I SAH with her. So it just seems to make sense.</p> <p>@JoJoGirl: That makes me feel better! It was just a community centre class, but the routine was pretty basic, they had the teacher off to the side doing it with them as a demo, and the little girls were mostly giggling and twirling. Usually the ones around here do something May/June/July which is why the year starts in August. They aren't really learning choreographing but they will learn some moves (first position, etc). They have told me they add kids to the class year round, but I am just wondering if it is the best idea to jump in when the other kids have been going for longer? Then again, at 2 years old, I'm not sure how much it matters? It's not like they are memorizing choreography at this age. </p>
